Dr Janbee Shaik Mopidevi to co-chair Relation-Centered Education Network conference

Dr Janbee Shaik Mopidevi, Early Years Lecturer, is set to co-chair the Relation-Centred Education Network International Conference, alongside Dr Leah O Toole, Maynooth University, Ireland from 15-17 June 2023, held at the University of East London.

The conference aims to give attendees an understanding of how educators can create positive educational relations with and among students. Attendees will learn how to help educators develop their own relational capabilities and offer a policy framework to compliment or replace cognitive test-based accountability approaches.

Under the theme of ‘relational systems: multiple relationships in interaction,’ Principal Dr Janet Rose will present a lecture titled ‘Emotion Coaching: whole school approach to supporting pupil-teacher relationships and improving student wellbeing and self-regulation’ on 16 June 2023.
